چکیده
ide, Q , the P f this 2) sele A 67-year-old diabetic man with a pacemaker for symptomatic bradycardia underwent cardiac catheterization for unstable angina, 19 years after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. There were bilateral pedicled internal mammary grafts—from the left internal mammary artery (LIMA) to the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD), and from the right internal mammary artery to the posterior descending coronary artery—as well as a saphenous venous graft to an obtuse marginal circumflex branch. Angiography revealed a patent right internal mammary artery–posterior descending coronary artery and a culprit diseased saphenous venous graft–obtuse marginal. The LIMA–LAD could not be engaged at its expected origin from the left subclavian artery (Fig. 1A, Online Video 1). The LAD

Anomalous Origin of the Left Internal Mammary Artery from the Aortic Arch: A Case Report and Review of the Literature
The left internal mammary artery is commonly used during coronary artery bypass grafting to provide direct revascularization for arteries, typically left anterior descending artery, with significant coronary atherosclerosis. In the world medical literature, we identified only 3 cases of well-documented anomalous origin of the left internal mammary artery from the aortic arch identified followin...
متن کاملA Case Report of Variant Origin of Left Vertebral Artery from Aortic Arch and its Embryological Explanation
Vertebral artery is the first branch of subclavian artery. It merges with the same artery of the opposite side to form basilar artery and becomes one of the important source of blood supply to the brain. Variation in the origin of left vertebral artery was found in 65 year old female during magnetic resonance angiography of the neck vessels. It originated from aortic arch and was longer as ...

BMJ Case Rep Published online: [please include Day Month Year] doi:10.1136/bcr-2014206583 DESCRIPTION A 72-year-old man who had undergone coronary artery bypass grafting 18 years previously (including left internal mammary artery (LIMA) graft to the left anterior descending artery) presented with an acute coronary syndrome. He underwent angiography to...
متن کاملA Rare Variation of Right Subclavian Artery Origin from Posterior Surface of Aortic Arch
Purpose: Several variations of aortic arch have been reported yet. In present study another variation of aortic arch was reported. Right subclavian artery arises from posterior surface of the distal end of the aortic arch. Case Report: we present a variation of an aorticarch in which right subclavian artery arisesfrom posterior surface of the distal end of the aortic arch and passing behind eso...

Manuscript received February 19, 2016; accepted February 25, 2016. angiography showed competitive follow in the distal left anterior descending coronary artery (Figure 1, Online Video 1). However, LIMA could not be visualized despite multiple angiographic images of left subclavian artery. Aortic arch angiography showed an artery coming off the aortic arch just distal to the origin of the subcla...
